Join us as our Product Owner / Product Manager - High Acuity Care (ICU, Emergency, Anesthesia) at Dedalus, one of the World's leading healthcare technology companies, in Wien with possibility of Hybrid Working, Bonn or Trier to do the best work of your career and make a profound impact in providing better care for a healthier planet.

Your Tasks:

  • Own, structure, and continuously refine the product backlog with clear priorities aligned to product strategy
  • Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements based on clinical workflows and user needs
  • Work closely with engineering, UX, and architecture teams in Agile/Scrum setups to deliver high-quality increments
  • Ensure end-to-end delivery accountability, including validation and release readiness
  • Contribute to and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap within the High Acuity Care value stream
  • Identify opportunities in areas such as:
  • Clinical decision support and AI
  • Real-time data integration & monitoring
  • Workflow automation
  • Interoperability (e.g., HL7, FHIR, openEHR)
  • Support validation, documentation, and risk awareness in product development
  • Analyze market trends, regulatory requirements, and customer feedback
  • Mentor and support colleagues with domain expertise and product thinking

You bring in:

  • Degree in Medicine, Healthcare, Engineering, Computer Science, or Medical Informatics
  • Alternatively: significant clinical experience (e.g., ICU nurse, anesthesiology support) with strong IT affinity
  • 2-5 years in Product Management, Product Ownership, or similar roles in software development OR
  • 5-10 years in clinical environments (ICU, ER, anesthesia) with exposure to digital systems
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows, especially in high-acuity care
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT ecosystems and ideally interoperability standards
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Strong product mindset with focus on value delivery and outcomes
  • Analytical thinking to prioritize across conflicting inputs and constraints
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong stakeholder management across international environments
  • Self-driven, structured, and results-oriented
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 45.800 gross per year (38.5 working hours per week) according to the IT-collective agreement, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
