We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and develop site procurement activities at our Linz location. In this role, you will manage the local procurement team and ensure the delivery of competitive, compliant, and sustainable procurement solutions across technical and service categories.
You will play a key role in supporting operational excellence, ensuring security of supply, and aligning local procurement activities with group-wide strategies.
Your Role
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the site procurement strategy while acting as a key business partner to operations, engineering, and group procurement.
Your Scope Includes
Technical procurement, including CAPEX, MRO/spare parts, technical services, site overheads, and business services
Leadership of the local procurement team
Implementation of group procurement strategies and contracts
Supplier relationship management, negotiations, and risk mitigation
Ensuring full compliance with HSEQ, legal, and internal procurement procedures
Key Responsibilites
Lead, coach, and develop the site procurement team, setting clear objectives and KPIs
Define and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned with group guidelines
Negotiate framework agreements and commercial terms with key suppliers
Ensure competitive total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and safety
Actively manage supplier performance and supply risks
Support multi-site sourcing, benchmarking, and volume pooling initiatives
Collaborate closely with site management, group procurement, legal, HSEQ, and engineering teams
Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools
Your Profile
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
10-15 years of relevant professional experience, including 5-10 years in a similar procurement leadership role
Strong experience in technical procurement and negotiations within an industrial environment
Solid understanding of contractual and legal principles
Proven people management and stakeholder influencing skills
Comfortable working in international, multicultural matrix organizations
Professional fluency in English and German
