ABOUT THE JOB
The Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous performance of all plant equipment within the Business Unit. By effectively coordinating and executing planned and scheduled maintenance activities, this role minimizes downtime, enhances equipment longevity, and keeps production running smoothly. The Maintenance Specialist applies strong technical capability, disciplined maintenance execution, SAP-driven processes, and hands‑on troubleshooting to ensure high asset availability. The role also supports annual overhauls, cost‑efficient maintenance practices, performance monitoring, and collaboration with production, engineering, logistics, and quality teams. As a key guardian of equipment health and maintenance standards, the Maintenance Specialist directly influences operational stability, cost effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and overall business continuity.
IS THIS YOU?
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of technical experience in FMCG manufacturing, ideally within bottling environments.
- Strong experience executing preventive and condition‑based maintenance.
- Skilled in SAP for maintenance planning, execution, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of modern maintenance methodologies and reliability‑centered practices.
- Hands‑on involvement in technical projects within manufacturing operations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, including use of maintenance performance tools.
- Able to work effectively with cross‑functional teams including production, quality, logistics, and union stakeholders.
- Passionate about improving equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and operational safety.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and supervise planned and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and ensure timely corrective action.
- Implement preventive and condition‑based maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve reliability.
- Support the planning and execution of annual production line overhauls.
- Participate in technical improvement projects, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with the spare parts team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance work, equipment histories, and asset records.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring the plant maintenance budget.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and maintenance efficiency improvements.
- Track performance indicators such as downtime, reliability, and asset health.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Partner with production, quality, logistics, and union teams to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to QHSE standards and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture in all maintenance-related activities.
