Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As our new Application Engineer, you'll leverage your experience in embedded systems and technical expertise to drive cutting-edge solutions in the semiconductor and ultra-wide band industries. With a strong foundation in programming languages like C/C++ and Python, you'll be empowered to shape the future of software design and collaboration, and take your career to the next level.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance embedded software for microcontrollers, focusing on ultra-wide band applications, performance, and reliability
- Write and review clean, efficient, and well-documented C code, adhering to best practices and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets customer needs, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues using various tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software products
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Software Development, preferably in industries related to semiconductors, ultra-wide band, or similar, with a focus on embedded systems
- Very good understanding of the embedded software development process, familiarity with embedded real-time OS platforms, embedded Linux and proficiency in C/C++ and Python is required
- Proficiency in Software Development tools including GIT, make/C Make, and other version control and build automation tools
- Experience with ensuring quality through automated testing (unit testing, integration testing), CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD), and code reviews
- Knowledge on UWB standards defined by organizations such as Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), FiRa Consortium, Aliro, IEEE
- S trong technical and analytical skills combined with a team-oriented mindset
- Excellent German and English communication skills
The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2024.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
