Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Definition: Define end-to-end system architecture and requirements (accuracy/latency/power)
• Exploration: Build data pipelines and simulation/benchmark framework with suitable metrics
• Development and Training: Algorithms for event/data-efficient inference (SNN/TinyML)
• Improvement: Map and optimize models for edge hardware (quantization, pruning, scheduling)
• Implementation: Real-time integration (sensing, compute, comms) and robustness features
• Validation and Benchmarking: Validate prototypes and run power/latency/accuracy benchmarking across scenarios
• Documentation and Reporting: Document results and findings by writing and submitting a Bachelor's thesis, presenting a comprehensive and well-structured report of the research and development process

This thesis has to be written in cooperation with a university.

Type of employment: Temporary / Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
Duration: min. 6 months

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Technical Mathematics, Mechatronics, Information Technology or related technical study branches
• Knowledge: Confluence and content management
• Motivation: Eager to gain experience and knowledge in the convergence point of different technical areas
• Teamwork: Capable of working effectively in an international team
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, German is a plus
  This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
