As the responsible expert for flight test operations at Rotax, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of aircraft engine testing while supporting system integration, prototype validation, and aviation product development.
We are looking for
Flight Test Manager (m/f/d)
LOCATION: Gunskirchen • START: IMMEDIATELY
Your responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and improve flight test operations in alignment with safety, compliance, and engineering standards.
- Integrate Rotax aircraft engines into existing airframes and support prototype builds and validation activities.
- Conduct system integration engineering tasks including design support, installation reviews, and technical documentation.
- Analyze test and engineering data to support design decisions and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. EASA, DO-160).
- Select test aircraft, define configurations, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders including strategic customers and suppliers.
- Manage scheduling, budgeting, acceptance processes, and field support related to installation or operational issues.
- Deliver training, technical presentations, reports, and support certification activities and product improvements.
Your experiences and skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in aerospace, propulsion systems, or prototype testing (internships count).
- Familiarity with aircraft engines, validation processes, and certification standards.
- Experience with flight testing, system integration, or hands-on component/engine testing is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills with a safety-first mindset.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.

You will be offered an exciting position in an international company with many interesting benefits and diverse development opportunities. The minimum salary for this position is EUR 60.962,3 gross/year in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer an attractive and performance-related salary with corresponding overpayment.
