Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

As a engineer in mechanical design, you will play a key role in shaping complex mechanical and electromechanical solutions that enable next-generation semiconductor manufacturing. You will oversee the full development cycle -- from initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, and release -- ensuring technical excellence, manufacturability, and compliance with standards.

What you will be doing

  • Drive the end-to-end development of mechanical and electromechanical components, including idea generation, CAD modeling, design reviews, and validation.
  • Work with a broad range of materials such as metals, plastics, ceramics, quartz, and specialized coatings to achieve performance and reliability goals.
  • Apply best practices in documentation, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and industry standards.
  • Perform detailed analyses, e.g. structural, thermal, vibration, stress, FEA, and fluid/gas dynamics, to optimize designs.
  • Define and execute feasibility studies, test strategies, and validation plans to assess system performance.
  • Summarize findings and design intent in clear technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are high-quality, cost-efficient, and manufacturable.
  • Deliver key engineering outputs such as risk assessments, specifications, FMEAs, and design review packages.
  • Provide technical coaching and guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • What we are looking for

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with at least 8 years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD platforms (e.g. CREO, NX, SolidWorks, ProE).
  • Hands-on design and prototyping experience combined with solid analytical engineering skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience leading projects, managing priorities, and solving complex problems.
  • Familiarity with fluid system design.
  • Ability to work across multiple programs with different deliverables and timelines.

Our client offers a minimum annual gross salary of EUR 60,000 for this position. Depending on experience and qualifications, there is of course a willingness to pay significantly above this amount.
