As of now we are looking for a:
Senior Organic Chemist (f/m/d)
Responsibilities:
- Planning and conducting laboratory experiments, including analytics and documentation
- Planning and conducting purification and modification of lipids derived from microbial biomass for various applications
- Planning and conducting technical and scientific leadership activities to optimize production processes
- Planning and conducting the contract synthesis of custom-designed lipids to meet specific client and project requirements
- Developing new products and driving innovation aimed at generating intellectual property, while staying updated with current literature
- Planning and conducting oversight of daily laboratory work, including drafting SOPs, optimizing existing protocols and providing guidance to co-workers
Requirements:
- PhD preferred; alternatively, a completed Master's degree
- Approximately 3 years of professional experience in synthetic chemistry -- experience in both academia and industry is welcome
- Solid knowledge of organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, purification methods, and analytical techniques
- Experience with lipids is a big plus (lipid chemistry, purification, synthesis)
- Experience in scale-up processes is an advantage
- Excellent English skills (C1 level)
- German skills are an advantage but not required
- Independent and solution-oriented working style
- Hands-on mentality

- A gross annual salary starting from EUR50,000 (based on full-time employment, according to the chemical industry collective agreement) with an all-in contract
