Your new challenges which will inspire you:

• This FH internship (for students of a University of Applied Sciences) is intended to complement your education and provide you with insight into the work and activities of the R&D department of a pharmaceutical company.
• The internship should last 6 months, and supervision of a master's thesis on the topic of "Process modelling and optimization" is offered.
• Supporting the Vienna R&D team with the following tasks:
• Characterization of bioprocess engineering process using specialized inline analysis.
• Development of digital twins for the further optimization of established unit operations.
• Statistical evaluation of the collected data and interpretation of results.
• Documentation within the scope of the above-mentioned tasks.

Your profile that will convince us:

• Student at a FH (Fachhochschule)/University of Applied Sciences (Pflichtpraktikum / obligatory internship) with a scientific or process engineering background, preferably in the fields of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar.
• Interest in writing a master's thesis on "Process modelling and optimization"
• Mandatory lab courses during the studies are completed.
• Interest in learning new methods.
• High motivation and willingness to learn
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Team player.
• High interest in acquiring experience in the research and development department of a pharmaceutical company.
• Personal responsibility, flexibility, and ability to work in a team.
• Precise way of working.

Additional Information:

Duration of internship: 6 Months (in framework from 01.09.2025 to 28.02.2026)

The minimum gross salary based on the collective agreement (chemical industry) for this position is EUR 2.010,75 (with Matura and/or over 18 years old).
