OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

Your tasks

  • Steering and optimization of OMV Rail Tank Car (RTC) fleet and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders regarding availability, respective costs and (intercompany) recharging processes. Furthermore, definition of the optimum fleet size needed to realize all requested rail transports and planning of required (technical) adaptions of the fleet.
  • Actively manage rental tenders, market screenings and contract negotiations (prolongations and terminations) within area of primary logistics. Contract monitoring as well as adherence of rent contracts to legal requirements, intercompany contracts and corresponding operational activities.
  • Cross country competence center for new RTC- and freight-concepts, such as All-In models or sharing of a common RTC pool.
  • Provide valuable input for short-term strategy (renewable projects / bio feedstock supply) in the area of fleet optimization and planning of new logistics concepts.
  • Leading and managing logistics-related projects and initiatives with focus on fleet usage, its optimization and evaluation and planning of new logistics concepts as well as executing of HSSE contractor audits and Management Walk-Arounds.
  • Acting as a stand in for department manager as well as deputy for department manager in mineral oil and rail transport related external working groups as needed.

Your profile

  • University Master Degree/Diploma in the Economics/Technical related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Profound understanding and skills in the field of project management and logistics.
  • Good analytical skills and basic knowledge of accounting and controlling.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in German and English.
