Job description

In your new job you will:

  • Work on application system-solutions (i.e. innovative power converters and driving concepts which are optimized for the power switch technology) and define target specification for driver products
  • Support requirement definition as well as the concept and development phase for new driver products
  • Keep development projects on track, verify and meet target specification
  • Support engineering sales colleagues and key customers for new designs and technical challenges with the focus on driver products
  • Work with key customers in the design in phase and provide on-site technical support for selected key customers
  • Drive product innovation in function, size and system costs and define application specific driver product improvements
  • Define and create hardware-demonstrators and evaluation-kits for promotion and testing purposes and use the in the lab

Profile

As a team-player you demonstrate strong communication skills and know how to establish lasting relationships and networks. You think analytically and result-oriented, have a structured and self-driven working, even when under pressure. Moreover, you have a sense for business opportunities and feel comfortable working in a dynamic environment and dealing with customers during technical troubleshooting. To master your job, you are able to quickly establish a successful multi-disciplinary cooperation and appreciate the contributions of other people.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university / college degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable
  • 6+ years of experience in the field of power electronic devices, hardware development and testing, preferred in the area of high voltage drivers/SMPS
  • Documented contribution in power devices development projects
  • Strong understanding of power electronics related topics (standards, test conditions, topologies)
  • Fluent English skills

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H-I (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
