Elektrotechniker (G4) IAEO-Laboratorien, Seibersdorf

Werden Sie Teil der Internationalen Atomenergie-Organisation (IAEO) und unterstützen Sie als Elektrotechniker den sicheren und zuverlässigen Betrieb hochkomplexer elektrischer Systeme in den Seibersdorf Laboratories, um eine unterbrechungsfreie Funktionalität in sauberen, strahlungskontrollierten und biologisch gefährlichen Laborumgebungen zu gewährleisten.

Hauptaufgaben

· Betrieb, Wartung, Reparatur und Modernisierung elektrischer Anlagen und Geräte in Bürogebäuden und Laboreinrichtungen.

· Überwachung und Diagnose von Störungen in hochkomplexen elektrischen Anlagen und hochpräzisen Komponenten.

· Koordination und Überwachung der Arbeiten externer Auftragnehmer, um Betriebsunterbrechungen zu minimieren.

· Durchführung vorbeugender Wartungsarbeiten und Unterstützung bei der Modernisierung der technischen elektrischen Infrastruktur.

· Unterstützung des Laborbetriebs durch interne Workshops, Lagerverwaltung und technische Dokumentation.

· Bereitstellung von elektrischem Support auf Abruf.

Das Mindestgehalt beträgt 50.032 EUR NETTO pro Jahr, wobei das tatsächliche Gehalt von der Qualifikation und Erfahrung abhängt (vorbehaltlich der obligatorischen Abzüge für Rentenbeiträge und Krankenversicherung). Das Gehalt wird 12 Mal pro Jahr auf der Grundlage von 38 Stunden ausgezahlt.

Organizational Setting

The Department of Management's Division of General Services (MTGS) provides support functions to the IAEA through its four Sections, namely the Archives and Records Section (ARMS), the Commissary Management Section (CMS), the Facilities Management and General Support Section (FMGSS) and the Seibersdorf Laboratories Services Section (SLSS). Among the five Sections, the Seibersdorf Laboratories Services Section (SLSS) provides site operation technical and administrative services to the work of the IAEA's laboratories. SLSS services include facilities, technical, engineering, property and transport management, and site security through its management of the Seibersdorf Protective Force (SPF). The Section has a diverse complement of 35 staff, including technicians, drivers, procurement assistants and IT support. The armed SPF provides around-the-clock security for the site.Among the five Sections, the Seibersdorf Laboratories Services Section (SLSS) provides site operation technical and administrative services to the work of the IAEA's laboratories. Main Purpose

Under the supervision of Supervisor, Technical Support Group and guidance of Electro-Technician Foreman, the Electro-technician ensures the proper functioning of all highly sophisticated electrical systems, such as those found in the IAEA's clean laboratories or in radiation controlled, bio-hazardous laboratories. He/she will further be involved in preventive maintenance initiatives and the upgrading of all laboratory electrical standard installations.

Aufgaben

  • Install, maintain, repair and test HVAC systems and water-conditioning systems by: assembling, installing and testing equipment using construction drawings and manufacturers maintenance manuals.
  • Monitor the functioning of major air-conditioning water-chillers, their associated evaporators, cold water and cold air circulation pumps and fans, distribution pipes, fan-coil units and control units, as well as technical refrigerators, technical freezers, special deep-freezers, freeze-dryers, cold chambers, freezer-chambers and several in-house designed and assembled cooled devices utilised for specific laboratory projects.
  • Check the operation and condition of equipment and systems for fault location, repairing various equipment such as motors, pumps, fans, valves and a multitude of other high-precision mechanical components.
  • Set-up of test procedures for verification of equipment system conditions and performances in accordance with characteristic data for optimal operation of large, complex, process systems.
  • Provide technical support, ensuring that maintenance and/or repair work is carried out as per specifications and standards.
  • Actively participate in preventative maintenance activities, coordinate with sub-contractors on site and assist the Supervisor (Technical Support Group) in the continuous upgrading of existing HVAC infrastructure as required by the laboratory programmes.
  • Participate in the laboratory maintenance on-call scheme.
  • Assist others outside area of specialization, if needed.

The incumbent may perform his/her work in areas involving exposure to radioactive materials. Therefore, as an Occupationally Exposed Worker, he/she must be medically cleared by VIC Medical Service and is subject to an appropriate radiation and health monitoring programme, in accordance with the IAEA's Radiation Safety Regulations.

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills

  • Completed apprenticeship and vocational schooling as an electrician, electrical technologist, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience, with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing electrical systems.
  • Good understanding of modern techniques utilized in all electrical systems, including all safety aspects thereof.
  • Excellent oral and written command of English and German. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
  • English language testing (to IAEA standard) might be part of the selection process.

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at EUR 50032 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), 6 weeks' annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance.
